The Ottawa chapter of Dorkbot got rolling last night in our lovely new M70 Lab. It started with an interesting presentation from Sebastian Baillard on the RepRap 3D printer. Thanks Sebastian, everybody can’t wait to see it done!
There is more Dorkbot to come on March the 11th (and every second Tuesday of the month after that) when Normand Rivest will be demonstrating different techniques for building the equivilant of an SM58 microphone for under $10.00, and together we will be building Xoscope circuits. These are buffer+amplifier circuits which will enable you to use your computer’s sound card as an oscilloscope. (An oscilloscope is a tool that measures, records, and graphs the voltage in an electrical circuit.) This circuit may be helpful as a buffer/amplifier for circuit bending as well.
