Mary (Biss) Spry
b.
1907 in South Africa, d. 1998, Ottawa, Ontario
Writer,
economist and teacher, her social activism included membership in the
League of Social Reconstruction; work with the Federated Women's Institute
in Canada which became known as the Associated Country Women of the World
– ACWW. Her writings include The Palliser Expedition '63
and an about to be published book, From the Hunt to the Homestead.
