The Windows Collective (2008-2018) is 6 Ottawa artists who create outdoor public installations using super-8, 16mm, and 35mm film loops. The vision of the collective is to play with the aesthetics of residential and commercial architectural structures in Ottawa, and to re-invent a contemporary and mobile urban art practice built out of the traditions of filmmaking.
Le Windows Collective (2008-2018) est un groupe de 6 artistes d’Ottawa qui créent des installations publiques en plein air à l’aide de super-8, 16mm, et des boucles de film 35 mm. La vision du groupe est de jouer avec l’esthétique de l’architecture résidentielle et commerciale à Ottawa, et à réinventer une pratique de l’art urbain, contemporain et mobile, fondée sur les traditions du cinéma.
