>>Melissa: The MAD program was
good for me because

0:08

I learned a lot about myself

0:10

as a person, as a dancer and
as an entrepreneur.

0:14

>>Wali: It’s helped me develop myself
as an artist

0:15

and given me platforms to perform
and engage with other audiences

0:18

and build my career.

0:19

>>Indiana: It’s kind of like a mentorship program.

0:21

>>Nick: They’re paying you

0:23

to put out your content
which is unheard of.

0:26

>>Asad: We started with 300 followers,

0:28

now we have 4,000 followers.

0:30

>>Rohan: So it’s been useful to get that
information

0:32

in all the workshops.

0:33

I’m still marinating on…

0:35

on things that were brought up
in earlier workshops, months ago.

0:37

Really loved what we learned in the
workshop before this,

0:41

from different people like Danny and
learning about the arts presenting

0:45

world within Ontario.

0:47

>>Jessica: Um, there is something that Krystal Kiran said:

0:49

to not only embrace…

0:51

just one side of your culture, your heritage
or where you come from,

0:54

but to embrace all sides of your um
of your culture and where you come from.

1:00

>>Melissa: So some things that I’ve
learned in the workshops so far

1:02

that really stood out was really

1:03

looking at the demographics

1:05

and what we need to do in order to get
our target audience

1:08

and really specifying specific goals
and not just having kind of a general goal.

1:12

When you get nitty gritty and really decide
what your

1:15

target audience is, that’s how you’re going
to get the people and the fans to come and to stay.

1:19

>>Wali: The session that we had with Vidhi
was super enlightening.

1:22

I wish I’d learned about a little bit earlier,

1:25

to be honest, in my career as I was
building this because

1:28

some of the things
that she was talking about

1:29

are…are like gems
in terms of growing yourself.

1:33

>>Indiana: We see this as a holistic
program

1:35

cause you’re not just learning or
–about creating your content

1:39

but then it’s also how to put that content
out there.

1:42

Cause we would not have this exchange
otherwise like

1:45

if it wasn’t for MAD, we would
still be trying to figure out the whole

1:49

social media, influencing, and knowing
your insights and target audience.

1:54

But just having somebody to talk to one on one and be like okay, you know,

1:58

this is how you should plan your goal,
this is how you should do it

2:01

or these are some of the pointers.

2:03

>>Saad: We learned a lot of
organization to start with.

2:07

Uh…finishing up stuff and deadlines.

2:10

>>Ria: We’re honestly really pumped to

2:13

see the final product of our MAD episode,
we just saw it over lunch and we’re like

2:17

[Dramatically] Ohhh!
We feel so famous and fancy.

2:20

[Both giggle]

2:22

And it’s kind of just nice to reflect on our
journey

2:24

and what we’ve done over the past few
years.

2:27

There’s footage in there from us

2:28

teaching and performing like
4 years ago and it’s…

2:31

it made us actually emotional to look at it because we’re like

2:34

look at all that we’ve done.

2:36

>>Ravi: I made a bio page for the first
time

2:38

and since I created it last week
I’ve been getting hits like non-stop every…

2:41

you know…it’s really good.
Especially since this morning

2:44

we posted a…a little documentary thing,

2:46

I just been watching it, I’ve been getting
messages and pinging on my phone.

2:49

Like I…I keep going on and on about the
video because I honestly that was one of like

2:53

one of the wickedess productions we’ve every had.

2:56

>>EnKaye: You know, if you are doing
well for yourself,

2:57

why not take the opportunity to get more
skills,

3:00

more resources, more training
to push yourself even further.

3:03

And I think beyond just the chance
to perform

3:05

and, you know, put your craft out there
and work with others,

3:08

I think the skills training aspect of it is what

3:10

really makes me want to recommend this
to anybody who wants to keep doing this thing.

3:14

>>Shivani: We literally struggled a lot
in order to get our show.

3:17

So you can say that we were,

3:19

you know, that particular plant who was almost about to die,

3:22

but when MonsterARTity came into
picture

3:25

it watered us, we got nurtured,
we’re blooming right now.

3:29

Right now we have a lot of fans or people

3:32

reaching out to us.

3:33

>>Ria: It’s nice to be able to connect with other artists.

3:35

I think that’s been pretty amazing
for us because usually we’re in our own

3:40

little bubble of creating and performing,
so it’s nice to…

3:43

see other dancer artists,
but also other artists.

3:46

Like we’re connecting with musicians as
well and it’s nice to see their perspective.

3:50

>>Devin: It helped me to discover a lot of
confidence and hidden abilities in myself

3:55

that I otherwise wouldn’t have known
I had.
