Engage seniors with the M.A.Y. at Heart Program

#MonsterArts for Youth (M.A.Y.) at Heart is a program run by MonstrARTity, in collaboration with Indus Community Services, wherein South Asian seniors receive free workshops from experienced artists in various South Asian arts such as dance, music, poetry and visual arts. These culturally relevant workshops in dance, music, and more will build camaraderie, develop skills and most importantly, be fun for seniors. The MAY at Heart program has been developed to serve as a cornerstone of support for South Asian seniors to develop feelings of harmony within the community and reduce feelings of isolation in this age.

About MonstrARTity:
#BollywoodMonster Mashup is the largest South Asian festival in Canada and is produced by MonstrARTity, an incorporated not-for-profit arts organization that creates innovative world-class productions. In addition to #BollywoodMonster Mashup, MonstrARTity produces another monstrous production known an #MonsterWorld Mashup which brings World music to the audience in an innovative fashion. In the spirit of giving back to the community, MonstrARTity runs the #MonsterArts for Youth program, which brings professional artists into the classroom to teach students about South Asian arts.
