overwhelmingly positive and

0:09

overwhelmingly successful i’d say it’s

0:11

been beyond what we’ve expected i like

0:15

the atmosphere and it’s it’s very

0:17

positive these days i guess talent is

0:19

secondary if you’re talented enough good

0:21

for you and but you have to be good at

0:23

marketing as well because if you’re not

0:24

able to promote yourself in front of

0:26

people

0:27

nobody’s going to notice your work the

0:29

more i grow the more i would love to

0:30

involve the mad team to be honest i love

0:33

it

0:34

so when i heard that we were getting

0:35

paid to come to the workshops i got very

0:37

excited most of the time you would have

0:39

to pay for this type of education it

0:41

wasn’t the type of thing where they’re

0:42

like here’s some money go away

0:45

it was a here are these workshops here’s

0:47

this information here’s how we’re going

0:49

to help you a very detailed

0:52

list of steps let’s go through it

0:53

together it feels like a real mentoring

0:56

program that’s that’s one of the main

0:57

reasons that i was attracted to this

1:00

yeah today was great i loved the

1:01

discussion points um in terms of

1:04

short-term uh medium goals and long-term

1:06

goals um it really put everything into

1:08

perspective and gave me next steps to do

1:11

i’m looking forward to the next six

1:12

months to come just because i i feel

1:14

like i have a plan now

1:16

i’m also working on building a website

1:18

and so forth and they’ve given me a lot

1:20

of info on that and that’s something

1:21

i’ve never gotten to do or around to do

1:24

so i really i’m glad that i have all of

1:26

these resources now to help me guide

1:29

myself through the process

1:31

we’ve been getting a lot more views

1:32

through our website and a lot of our um

1:36

our songs and music is posted there so

1:38

we’ve been getting a lot more

1:39

recognition now that we do have

1:41

a substantial work to show so and and

1:45

showcased on the website so it’s been a

1:47

help for us honestly it was a beautiful

1:49

experience i love it a lot of respect to

1:52

the artists almost like

1:54

you’re you want to push artists you know

1:57

like you’re like

1:58

stop let let us push you you know you

2:01

guys are pushing forward i love it it’s

2:03

either you want this or you don’t it’s

2:05

as simple as that and

2:07

living off of music these days

2:09

is harder now arguably than it’s ever

2:11

been but it’s also easier than it’s ever

2:13

been because you yourself can put

2:14

yourself out there you don’t have to beg

2:16

record labels to put your stuff out on

2:18

spotify or bank them for gigs or

2:20

anything you can do it all yourself the

2:22

mad program was good for me because i

2:25

learned how to think of music as a

2:28

business

2:29

so

2:30

before coming into this program i

2:32

obviously was passionate about music i

2:33

was really good at creating it arranging

2:36

it performing it but marketing it and

2:38

using it as a business and thinking of

2:41

it in that light is something that i

2:43

think every musician needs and that was

2:46

definitely something that i lacked

2:47

before coming here a lot of the

2:48

information here is actually things that

2:51

i either wouldn’t have figured out on my

2:53

own or haven’t been like exposed to or

2:55

experienced yet so it’s good that it’s

2:57

all just like right here and i can go

2:59

back afterwards and read the powerpoint

3:01

and all that

3:02

so i think going forward after these

3:04

three workshops at the website is

3:06

something i definitely want to keep up

3:08

and you know keep updating and working

3:11

on the mad program is good for me

3:14

because i am a better artist today

3:17

better artists this year than i was last

3:19

year because of it

3:32

you
