hi my name is tripty ninen and I’m the

0:11

artistic director of tri-cube dance

0:12

we’re one of the leading Bollywood dance

0:14

companies in the GTA and I really love

0:18

performing as well as teaching classes

0:25

my true passion is bringing my love for

0:28

dance whether it’s Bollywood as well as

0:30

other International Styles I’ve trained

0:32

in and fusing it all together to get

0:35

participants to also have a true love

0:37

for Bollywood dance and maybe pursue it

0:39

in the future

0:45

[Applause]

0:48

all right

0:51

all right

0:52

watch it get up on your feet and we’re

0:55

gonna teach you some awesome moves

0:59

[Music]

1:01

shoulders okay so you’re gonna turn

1:04

around one two three four five six seven

1:08

eight leading up the festival I would

1:11

say my favorite moment has been actually

1:13

trying to uh figure out the perfect

1:15

music and choreography to teach the

1:19

seniors as well as the kids because

1:20

there’s certain songs that resonate with

1:21

seniors from like maybe back in the day

1:23

and with the kids oftentimes it’s the

1:25

very high energy songs and they come and

1:27

tell me that they love this song from

1:29

this movie um and that they know it they

1:31

recognize it so I’m definitely looking

1:33

forward to seeing that coming together

1:34

like the the process of choreographing

1:37

it really gives me a lot of energy as I

1:39

Envision how they will you know be able

1:41

to learn it and and react to it and of

1:44

course for me also the challenge is

1:45

always trying to find ways to make sure

1:47

it’s accessible for everyone so I always

1:49

choreograph and then I modify right

1:52

after that I make sure that it’s done in

1:54

a way that you don’t need to be a

1:55

professional performer to do it leading

1:57

up to this Festival one of my favorite

1:59

moments has been this Monster Arts

2:01

development program I’m really excited

2:04

to be

2:05

um you know one of the Chosen Few to

2:07

develop my career and you know get the

2:09

support I need to Market it properly

2:11

because you know as a marketer myself I

2:14

get that you know I do this on a

2:16

day-to-day basis but you just never make

2:17

time for yourself to actually you know

2:19

introspect and do what it needs to do to

2:22

you know pursue your passion and make it

2:25

grow bigger so I’m really looking

2:26

forward to you know growing uh my career

2:29

and understanding how to workshop and

2:32

and doing this with larger audiences so

2:34

that eventually I can you know find

2:36

where my Niche is in this market when it

2:38

comes to dance

2:39

leading up to the festival my favorite

2:41

moments I would say moments have been

2:43

actually teaching the classes online

2:45

because it’s been like the prep to what

2:47

I’m leading up to doing in this Festival

2:48

in person till now I had to do it

2:50

virtually uh because of the pandemic

2:52

which was which is definitely a cool

2:54

opportunity to figure out how to teach

2:56

you know when people aren’t there in

2:58

person and you can’t help see every

3:00

little move so it’ll be really nice

3:02

seeing um you know this the shift over

3:04

from doing it online to in person but

3:06

also in such a larger scale and I really

3:08

actually hope I do see some of those

3:10

students that I taught on the

3:12

participants I think that would be

3:13

really cool if they come up to me and be

3:15

like I you know I did one of your

3:16

classes and that would make me really

3:18

happy that they remembered I’m most

3:20

looking forward to the high energy

3:23

hopefully get some lessee’s in me

3:25

because that would be fun I miss just

3:27

seeing all the street food there

3:29

um and I would definitely say like

3:31

seeing the people there and and seeing

3:33

their smiling faces excited to learn

3:35

um dance and especially usually when I

3:37

tell them what the name of the song is

3:38

like seeing their eyes light up um and

3:40

getting excited

3:42

um that would be definitely the part I’m

3:43

really looking forward to

3:45

forward

3:47

forward back and move forward and back

3:51

perfect and then you’re going to pretend

3:53

like a ringing a bell

3:55

[Music]

3:56

yeah

3:57

[Music]

4:03

if someone would love to get involved in

4:07

um this upcoming Festival I would

4:08

definitely say you need to to go online

4:10

and submit a form so that you could be a

4:13

potential artist in the future they’re

4:15

always looking out for great acts and

4:17

they’re willing to support everyone from

4:18

the communities one of the only

4:20

festivals I’ve seen today that really

4:22

doesn’t take just focuses on you

4:24

performing at the event but it off

4:26

provides you a lot of opportunities in

4:27

the future to work with them on other

4:29

things like workshops and maybe even

4:30

something like the monster artist

4:32

development program and I think that

4:34

would be really really helpful to a lot

4:35

of artists out there who are looking to

4:37

be showcased so we’ve been doing it and

4:39

had such a great experience every year

4:41

so that basically every year when you

4:42

know they call us back we’re like we’re

4:44

there we’re happy to come rain or shine

4:46

and this year of course the focus is

4:49

more on teaching the workshops because I

4:51

just want to share my love for dance and

4:53

kind of get back into the swing of

4:54

things and then you should be able to

4:56

see some fun performances in the future

4:58

look forward to seeing everyone there
