Carlyn Rhamey (She/They) is a Hamilton based storyteller and multidisciplinary artist. Carlyn’s artistic practice often has a focus on mental health and disability. In 2019, they created anamnesis for the Hamilton Frostbites Festival, alongside Alan Alizadeh, blending theatre and visual art through shadow puppetry. Carlyn also participated in the 2019 Hamilton Visual Fringe Festival, with her series “Brains Are Weird”. In 2020, Carlyn was the Emerging Artist Award Winner for Theatre in the Hamilton Arts Awards. They enjoy exploring with projection and multi-media art on and off the canvas. Carlyn is also a passionate Direct Support Professional and dreams of one day becoming a therapeutic clown!

Join Carlyn on July 4th at Carter Park to write, paint, draw and fill every space on the page, and maybe even some space off page too. Get physical, claw your art, use your elbow, pound the paint into the page! Be prepared to get messy! Rip, tear, cut, and glue it all back together, or don’t!
