ABOUT STAASIA DANIELS

Staasia Daniels is an R&B singer/songwriter/turtle-lover from Toronto who emerged from her shell and shared with the world her “Hidden Gems” in 2016: a debut EP that garnered attention, fans, and a confirmation that her decision to pursue music seriously after years of singing was indeed the right one.

A year later, Staasia reveals another love: of food, with the release of one of her top songs, “Peanut Butter”, which ultimately became a part of her second major EP, “Mood Roulette”.

By this time, Staasia has received recognition from top publications including NOW, Exclaim!, and Complex, and has electrified the stages at SXSW, A3C, CMW, NXNE, and popular venues including Toronto’s Mod Club and her own headlining shows at Drake Underground and Rivoli.

Spotify streams are in the hundreds of thousands and constantly growing, especially with the release of her latest EP, “Whatever Happens Happens”, and whatever is happening seems to be propelling her towards the stardom she exudes.

1:02

I’m a firm believer in music that feels

1:05

good I’m an empath first of all so I

1:07

feel what everybody else feels and stuff

1:10

like that but I I have to put that into

1:12

music and whether it’s in lyrics or in

1:14

my execution of the lyrics groaning you

1:17

know I mean I’d lives with the oohs ahhs

1:19

and stuff like that the harmonies and I

1:21

have to put that in there

1:23

what would I want to hear what would I

1:24

want to feel can I create that if so

1:39

people can come in they can feel like

1:40

they can get your Bollywood they can get

1:42

their you know their dance I looking at

1:44

their pop you can get the hip hop

1:45

because that is what Canada is

1:46

especially southern Ontario like that is

1:48

what the music is about so when the

1:49

festivals actually mirror that like it

1:51

just makes it a better experience and

1:53

you can come here and get everything

1:54

that you pretty much are looking for so

1:56

when we have festival like this um when

1:57

they reach out to me it’s like oh my

1:59

gosh I get to actually now perform to

2:01

expand the brand so like that people can

2:04

hear me and I almost not to say I prefer

2:06

it because word of mouth I think is just

2:08

better than and then anything from Demi

2:10

paying for an ad to like for brand

2:12

awareness it’s authentic I’m right here

2:13

you can see me you can see what I look

2:14

like you can hear me

No
