MONSTER ROCK ORCHESTRA 2017 - Parvaaz, Sumo Cyco and Stephanie Braganza

2018

Monster Rock Orchestra 2017 presents Parvaaz, Sumo Cyco and Stephanie Braganza LIVE at Garden Square, Friday August 18th 2017 in Brampton as part of the Monster Rock Orchestra. Don’t miss this special free live music show featuring Sumo Cyco and performances by Parvaaz and Stephanie Braganza alongside the #facemelting Monster Rock Orchestra.

Parvaaz’s sound is best described as a haunting soundscape of blues rock and psychedelia with profound, philosophical Kashmiri and Urdu lyrics layered over it. They use poetry in their lyrics and melancholy in their sound to deal with common human experiences and ideas. Parvaaz’s sound shifts seamlessly between heavy arena rock and soulful acoustic songs.

The band is currently touring extensively in India while working on their second album and are on the verge of their first international tour – a one-month sojourn to Canada in August-September, 2017.

Sumo Cyco fuse hard rock guitar riffs with in your face blast beats and dance hall rhythms, topped by electric female vocals.

With years of experience as a pop artist under her belt, Stephanie Braganza has ventured into rock, a genre where her powerhouse vocals fit right in. Her latest music video, “‘Chains of Silence” is her first step in this direction. The song was written by Stephanie Braganza and her co-writer, Kolin Stewart. Chris Strikes, the director of Kardinal Offishall’s award-winning music video, “Turn It Up,” was also brought on board to help create the music video concept that Braganza and Stewart wanted. The songstress’ resume includes a long list of performances, such as performing with rap artists Belly and Ginuwine at the Much Music Video Awards and she has won the Toronto Independent Music Award for Best Live Artist, along with Best Female Vocalist and Best Music Video for “Chains of Silence” at the Global Music Awards.
