The very first year of #BollywoodMonster Mashup we had Monali Thakur as a headliner singing her hit Zara Zara Touch Me at Mississauga Celebration Square. Monali was performing in Canada for the first time!
Monali is a winner of a Filmfare award for best playback singer for the song “Sawaar Loon” from the film Lootera (2013) and a national film award for the best playback singer for the song “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage” for the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015).
She was previously a judge for Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs and an expert for Colors TV “Rising Star” show for 2 seasons. Monali played the voice of Katrina Kaif (songs: Zara Zara Touch Me and Kwhaab Deke), Sonakshi Sinha (song: Sawaar Loon), and Priyanka Chopra (song: Raghupati Raghav).
#BollywoodMonster Mashup is the LARGEST South Asian festival in Canada. Accolades include:
