I’ve been able to be a part of this
0:01
Workshop it’s been amazing they are
0:04
teaching you to be better in your area
0:06
artists are being given the tools and
0:08
everybody has been so genuine and has
0:10
been wholeheartedly willing to help us
0:12
provides you a lot of opportunities in
0:13
the future they not only value artists
0:15
they make them feel respected
0:19
[Music]
0:26
one unique thing about this Festival is
0:28
that they are teaching you to be better
0:31
in your area
0:32
and if you have any challenges in your
0:35
area especially to build your business
0:36
or build your skills they are teaching
0:39
you ways in terms of how to get out of
0:41
it leading up to this Festival one of my
0:43
favorite moments has been this Monster
0:46
Arts development program I’m really
0:48
excited to be
0:50
um you know one of the Chosen Few to
0:52
develop my career and you know get the
0:54
support I need to Market it properly
0:56
I’ve been able to be a part of this
0:58
Workshop which has been really nice you
1:00
know getting some marketing and
1:02
producing just education and hearing
1:06
other people’s stories too in terms of
1:08
this Workshop it’s just been going on
1:09
since two hours it’s been great how do
1:11
we talk to all of the artists how do we
1:14
build up our social media what do you
1:16
call the followers on Instagram you know
1:18
Snapchat and all it’s been amazing this
1:21
Workshop has and especially this
1:22
Festival has opened our minds in terms
1:24
of looking who we are actually what
1:27
brand identity we want to portray in
1:29
front of others
1:31
this I would say eye-opening thoughts
1:35
are definitely going to help us in terms
1:37
of creating some kind of strategy so I
1:39
find like even just working with my
1:41
peers and knowing that there’s other
1:42
people in the industry who are willing
1:44
to help each other even though we are in
1:46
the same Market I’m actually looking
1:49
forward to doing more collaborations and
1:50
learning from them for me growing up I
1:53
didn’t have these types of opportunities
1:54
where we would learn about the business
1:55
side of of the Arts and where we had
1:58
mentors to coaches through specific
2:00
questions or specific Curiosities that
2:02
we had and I think it’s so amazing that
2:04
this is being provided now because
2:06
artists are being given the tools
2:07
they’re being given the the structures
2:09
they’re being given the capacity with
2:12
this program I’m finding that yes now
2:13
there’s a bit more of a focused effort
2:15
because people are vested in my you know
2:17
in my growth in my success and everybody
2:20
has been so genuine and has been
2:22
wholeheartedly willing to help us with
2:24
anything and everything that we are
2:26
asking for that we’re curious about I
2:28
feel the festival is genuinely
2:30
interested and concerned learned about
2:32
how to make South Asian Arts you know
2:34
music and dance artists really be
2:36
sustainable they’re always looking out
2:38
for great acts and they’re willing to
2:40
support everyone from the community it’s
2:41
one of the only festivals I’ve seen
2:43
today that really doesn’t take just
2:45
focuses on you performing at the event
2:47
but it all provides you a lot of
2:49
opportunities in the future to work with
2:51
them on other things like workshops and
2:52
maybe even something like the monster
2:54
artist development program Bollywood
2:56
monster mashup means a lot to me as an
2:59
artist it was the very first Festival
3:01
which made us realize that artists
3:05
artists are really valuable they not
3:08
only value artists they make them feel
3:11
respected which is why I will always
3:14
feel grateful to be a part of this
3:16
Festival
