Angèle Dubeau celebrates 25 years of her ensemble, La Pietà, with an album entirely conceived of, played, and composed by women. The title – the singular ELLE (She) – because each woman is unique.

Elena Kats-Chernin is one of Australia’s most distinguished living composers. Trained in Moscow, Australia, and Germany, Elena writes in a wide variety of idioms including opera, orchestral music, and chamber and solo works. Her dramatically vivid music communicates a mixture of lightheartedness and heavy melancholy, combining strong rhythmic figures with elements of cabaret, tango, ragtime, and klezmer.
