[Lab] parol corners

I'm making parols again this year and did a test run of a newer version
last night. http://inventorartist.com/parol/

Last year I found it annoying to use clothes pins and stuff to get the
corners to stick.

This year I added little tabs that hold them in place. I just put the whole
thing together then squirt glue into the thing and in a few minutes it's
ready to decorate...

Last night at the test run I found people had great difficulty sticking the
tabs in so I was wondering if anybody has any other ideas for joining the
corners easily.

I think I can live with the tabs but if something better comes forward
that's be cool...

Any thoughts?
