I'm still a novice solderer, but am totally game to work through the Neo Geo watch project alongside you and anyone else that's interested.
I have a DWex (http://timewitharduino.blogspot.ca/2010/06/introducing-arduino-analog-watch.html) and have been experimenting with other small Arduino based watch projects. The GPS aspect of the Neo Geo has awesome potential.
Did you order all of your components from Adafruit?
Cheers,
Jon

Last night I was in the lab fiddling with wiring to use a flora module to control neo pixels for pumpkin lighting. When I got home I soldered it together and the demo program worked successfully.
