If you need something faster than cheap, Lee Valley carries RGB strips: http://www.leevalley.com/en/hardware/page.aspx?cat=3,70322&p=70326
...and controllers for those strips: http://www.leevalley.com/en/hardware/page.aspx?cat=3,70322&p=70327
No idea how compatible they might be with your system though.
