Hey Lab,

I saw this today and thought some on the list might be intrigued:

http://m.spectrum.ieee.org/nanoclast/semiconductors/nanotechnology/sprayon-antenna-enabled-by-nanoparticles-extends-range-of-antennas-one-hundred-times

I'm really curious as to how it works- I'm guessing that it employs
piezoelectric particles suspended in silicon or some other type of
waterproof sticking substance. If that's the case it can't be great on
trees as trees breathe partially through their outer bark, along with a
host of other processes. Thoughts? What do you think this substance is?
