[Lab] solidwork's drawing and laser(Yaroslav Malyshev)

Good afternoon.

I created part for my project in SolidWorks2011 student design kit, which I took in the lab. I want to cut this part on the laser, but Inkscape doesn't work with solidwork's file format. Can I use solidwork's drawing for laser or need to convert my drawing in format, which inkscape can read? If it need to do, how do it? I can't find it in the solidwork.
