[Lab] Suggestions for EDA Suite?

I tried gEDA years ago and (like many linux open source solutions,
unfortunately) ended up spending most of my time trying to get it to work
and not designing boards :/.

YMMV though, I've heard some people (like Evil Mad Scientist labs) use it to
great extent.
