Hi Alan,
Unfortunately .mov export doesn't work on OSX yet. I made an
experimental OSX build of GridFlow 9.11 (svn) using libquicktime for
linux, that will allow .mov export. However, camera input won't work
with it.
You can get it here:

It will only work on intel, and I think it requires at least OSX
10.5... Let me know if it works for you.
Also, you could export your video as a serie of images and "stitch"
them together into a movie file with something like avidemux
(available through macports). I'm attaching a little demonstration of
that idea.
