   sudo aptitude install --without-recommends gridflow

works, and it's because pd-pdp wrongly contains the info that it depends 
specifically on vanilla.

BTW, whatever I may have said about the x11 module being optional now, is 
bullshit : I only had made half of the change, and I still haven't made 
the rest of it.
