Six musicians attempt to reproduce the sound emanating from a recording of Dan Flavin’s work comprised of six fluorescents tubes. The staging of a futile and excessive listening. We find here a process central to Sophie Belair Clement’s work: the remake, or rather, the obsessive imitation. Minimal and effective, this sound installation is an acoustic concert where human expression and performance translate and transpose an electric song.
