Une occasion unique de tirer parti d'une formation au logiciel libre Pure
Data. Pendant deux jours, un duo d'artistes animera cet atelier devant un
groupe restreint de 15 personnes. La première journée sera consacrée à
l'apprentissage des notions de base de Pure Data, à savoir l'audio et la
vidéo en temps réel et la gestion des librairies externes. Une utile
traduction du « geek à l'anglais » sera réalisée, rendant compréhensible
le langage du logiciel. La deuxième journée portera sur des notions plus
avancées. Ce sera aussi l'occasion pour tous les participants de poser des
questions relatives à leurs projets personnels.

 

La formation est assurée par le duo d'artistes hollandais Sara Kolster et
Derek Holster. Graphiste à l'origine, Sara Kolster oriente désormais son
travail vers la vidéo et le film. Derek Holzer vient du monde du son et
possède une forte expérience en net.radio. Avec leurs ouvres et leurs
projets de formation, ils ont, entre autres, voyagé en Allemagne pour
Transmediale 05 et Garage, en Pologne et en Norvège, puis en Finlande pour
le Pixelache Festival 2004.

A unique opportunity to benefit from training on the Pure Data open-source
software. For two days, a duo of artists will facilitate this workshop for
a limited group of 15 people. The first day will be focused on learning
the basic Pure Data notions, namely audio and video in real time, and the
management of external libraries. A useful geek-to-English translation
will be presented, making the software language comprehensible. The second
day will cover the mode advanced notions. This will also represent an
opportunity for all participants to ask questions regarding their personal
projects.

 

This workshop will be offered by Dutch artist duo Sara Kolster and Derek
Holster. Originally a graphic artist, Sara Kolster now orients her work
toward video and film. Derek Holzer comes from the world of sound and
leverages solid experience in net.radio. With their works and training
projects, they have notably travelled to Germany for Transmediale 05 and
Garage, Poland, Norway and Finland for Pixelache Festival 2004.
