[Lab] looking to buy a CNC6090... new or used ??

Assuming that machine is what it says it is, I'd say it's a good deal and a
decent machine. Plus free shipping.

Fuud for thot:

1) 6090 is slightly large.. Could be a good project or acquisition for a
makerspace. :) Perhaps there's a communal solution which is easier on cash
and easier on space (for individuals).

2) I've been dreaming about a 6090 group build. Not sure if this will come
forward since once people realize they need a machine they get trigger
happy (pricing in China is so accessible)... but perhaps one day there will
be enough people that want a group build... perhaps it could be affordable
to make something even better without spending too much.

3) I want one for myself too. I've had a watch on that listing for a while
thinking it's a decent machine... I have this other dreamy idea of the
square rail though as it's pretty excellent. Problem is it's considerably
more expensive, plus it's a bit tricky to find them in square rail... Also
other dreamy ideas of going larger yet... so I've not pulled the trigger
yet.

4) I wonder if we both ordered at once we could get a deal? Or there enough
6090 people around to see if there's any opportunity to do group by...

5) That thing does say 220V...

6) It mentions Mach3 which is fine.. There's a mention of direct USB read
and some sort of related controls. I'd like to know more about that. That
sounds quite sexy of an idea... does that mean it can run without tethering
to a computer??
