[Lab] thought about clock shafts

Can anybody think of a good system for clock shafts? I was thinking a
couple of pieces of telescoped brass tube. Just a thought... I think if I
make a clock with a mechanical face it might not have concentric shafts but
I wanted to look at it anyway...
