okay, the wiring is power on the outside and signal in the middle
(according to this link)

I got another problem, perhaps someone can give me ideas. when I connect my
power supply to the outer two, it gets sucked down... so it's like it's
shorted.. but none of the lights are on of course..
What could be up?
