[Lab] M70 tonight

Sounds great in theory. But I have to agree with Darcy here. In my
opinion Artengine does not provide it's members with much opportunity to
get involved in the politics.

Just look at the agenda... Item number 8 (Results of Nominations to Board
of Directors) at what point were the members solicited for interest if they
did want to get involved? When I attended AGM last year I expected
nominations and an election but was instead presented with the appointment
of a new board member by the current board.

Providing a status update to members once a year at an annual general
meeting does not in any way mean they are "involved".

When was the last time a board member stopped in to check on the busiest
regular event the organization hosts which also sees the most regular
members attend? ie ModLab

I realize this might be a bit out of line for a public forum, however, I
feel it is important for all to understand that there are members out there
that are frustrated with the operation of the organization and that it is
OK to speak out or nothing will change.

I will not be renewing my membership this year.

Dave
