[Lab] lead acid battery desulfator anyone ?

I have a few UPS batteries, all 12v and many now going bad so I started
to look into refreshing them and wonder if anyone here got any opinion
about it - god or bad.

For example I found

and the schematics in there can be found in several other places also
(like http://www.frontiersprings.com/desulfator.html for example).

Has anyone tried them ? know anything about the different types? Got a
kit in a box never assembled ?
