[Lab] crazy ideas for record clocks

I cooked up a few simple record clocks by cutting the records and using
pre-made movements. http://inventorartist.com/record-clock/

Does anybody have any ideas how to make the whole clock?

Perhaps I can make a bunch of gears up and use a stepper to drive it or
something..

Or some sort of LED system?

Thoughts?
