[Lab] suspending snowflakes

I just posted a picture of a bed over which I am considering installing the
snow flakes.

Catch is that the ceiling is too high as this is a mansion style house.

Any thoughts on how to suspend them? http://inventorartist.com/dream-walk/


Thanks for all the pointers and help on the electronics. That part of the
project has come forward.
