[Lab] Beagle Bone Workshop Tomorrow night!

It is more than just filling a niche between the arduino and a pi - think
of it as a combination of the two - so the power and flexibility of linux
with the i/o capability of an arduino.

I use a beaglebone (white) with 2xUART (1 for an xbee coordinator and 1 for
driving an LCD display), 1 analog input for a temperature sensor and I
still have lots of i/o capability left over to expand. With a USB hub, I
have 1 SSD and one CF drive and a UPS monitor. An USB modem works as my
phone answering machine with vgetty that emails me my voicemail at home.
Plus it runs ssh, cacti, ntp and a bunch of other services for my home
network. Way more than either an arduino or pi could do alone or even
together. The black is faster, more powerful and cheaper but otherwise
pretty similar to the white in footprint and expandability
