Asynclabs (http://asynclabs.com/) have some nice Arduino-compatible
wifi products that are low power.  Not sure if that will help you or
not.

I find the documentation to be a bit lacking, but have used the
Yellowjacket (http://asynclabs.com/store?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=24&category_id=11)
somewhat successfully.
