build session this Wednesday.

You are all welcome but please RSVP so I can figure out the size of space to
get at the pub.

Also, if you want to get these sorts of invites, you'll want to ask me to

Hello Aviators!

*Squirrel-O-Rama*: The next free community build is *Wednesday, September
1st, 6pm, 303 Bank Street *(Atomic Rooster Pub). It's a great opportunity to
meet new people in a social venue. Also it's the best way to get a Squirrel
model airplane for free! To attend, please send a note to
darcy at siteware.comindicatingwhat message or logo you would like
printed on your Squirrel wings

*Squirrel Mass Launch Dates (picnic)*: This year I decided to focus on fun
rather counts and metrics. So lets have it as a pot luck in the park. In
order to accommodate more people there are two dates:

*Saturday, September 4th (Sunday rain date)*
*Saturday, September 11th (Sunday rain date)*

Location details to come. Please let me know if you're coming and what date.
Also, if you don't have a Squirrel, feel free to come to the next
Squirrel-O-Rama to get one set up. You can also get in touch with me to make
an alternate arrangement if you can't make the sOr.

*Prizes for Children*: As many of you know, I have been doing a lot of
workshops in community centers, schools, churches, Cub Scouts and many other
venues. Lloyd Shales the designer of the Minnow has donated some Minnow kits
to use as prizes for my on-going engagements. This is a great
beginner-intermediate rubber-power kit. I'm always happy to accept these
sorts of donations because it makes it more fun for the children. It's just
another distraction from TV.

*Community Leader Board*: You can be famous by submitting your Squirrel
flight durations to me. I will add them to the Community Leader Board at the
Web site. Videos and pictures are welcome with your submission. The first
submission was made by *Gary Heinze (Master model plane builder of
California)*. His time is 52 seconds outdoor and 1 minute 11 seconds indoor.
On that note, I should mention that the best time so far in the ongoing
model airplane club a the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa is 39.5 seconds!
Look out model airplane gurus! The next generation are coming to get you. :)

*School Board Offering*: If you check out the the Ottawa School Board
"Learning for Life" offering at *

that I managed to get my picture inside the cover and on page 13. If you
want to get a Squirrel running in a more controlled environment (vs. a
public venue such as a pub), this is your chance. It's advertised for kids
but don't be fooled. Model planes are for adults too!
