[Gridflow-dev] Binary package for Ubuntu

Hello everyone,

FYI,

I made a bunch of tests tonight running live CDs of Ubuntu, and I can
confirm that the binary package (tarball) of 9.10 installed and ran
without much trouble on Intrepid, Jaunty, Karmic and Lucid.

To run it on Hardy, I had to:

- manually download and install liblame0 from packages.ubuntu.com (strange...)
- add "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ intrepid main" as apt source
- $ sudo apt-get update
- $ sudo apt-get install libc6

I tested with Pd-extended 0.41.4 and Pd-extended 0.42.5-rc4.

While we are at it, I would like to know what you guys think/know/do
about the general linux binary packaging headache... I am new to all
that !
