New Suns at Artengine
Artengine invites you to step into a world of radical optimism with New Suns, an exhibition unlike any other. Born from a groundbreaking collective worldbuilding lab, this show is a culmination of a year-long project where eight interdisciplinary artists, guided by acclaimed science fiction author Suyi Davies Okungbowa, imagined a future beyond dystopian narratives.
Rejecting fear and violence, these artists have created a collective vision where power structures are transformed into systems of care and mutual aid. Through a shared speculative framework, they explore profound concepts like the reconstitution of the human body to embrace other species and the reimagining of food production in an interconnected ecological framework. You will encounter astonishing ideas, from coin-operated 3D bioprinters for organs to a community of people who have genetically spliced with earthworms to aerate their crops.
More than just an art exhibition, New Suns is a powerful invitation to consider how speculative futurism can shape our reality. It champions the idea that by utilizing our existing knowledge and wild imagination, we can forge new pathways toward a more integrated, adaptive, and empathetic world.
Come experience these extraordinary visions of collective well-being.
