September 14th 2008, 2pm-6pm
Artengine does it again! We are once more ready to collect your under-utilized technological tools, things, do-hickies and thing-a-ma-jigs, in short, all the electronic stuff you can give up for adoption. Your objects will thus be reborn to a second electronic life in a loving home. This noble endeavor of technological recycling constitutes the heart of our annual funding drive. Your gifts will be sold at a silent auction during a memorable and friendly warm Sunday afternoon which will be held the 14th of September from 2pm to 6pm.
In the week preceeding the fundraiser, (Wednesday 10th to Saturday 13th), we strongly invite you to donate electronic objects of any nature (RCA cables, xlr, s-vhs, extensions, cameras, keyboards, computers, loudspeakers, amplifiers, toys, CDs and DVDs and tutti quanti) at Arts Court room M10 between 4pm to 7pm. All donations are welcome except for CRT computer monitors and televisions, due to high recycling costs. Flat screen LCDs are welcome, though! Artengine thanks you in advance for your generous donations, and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday Sept. 14!
Artengine is a non-profit, artist-run centre that fosters democratic and innovative approaches to electronic art and its evolving relationship with society.
