<div dir="ltr">Not sure yet.. I think the present is interesting... <div><br></div><div>The idea I have so far is a crank generator that runs the grid. Solar and wind is cool too since if there is solar or wind then the piece can run without cranking. But since it's an indoor installation (I think), it will only run on solar on a schedule... so if it happens to be noon when you're viewing the piece there will be a solar component. But at 10pm, there will never be solar... I suppose I could try and get real weather data to it too... </div><div><br></div><div>That's what I've been thinking...</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br clear="all"><div><div class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><br><div><div><br></div><div><div>--</div><div>Darcy Whyte</div><div><br></div><div>Software Since '88 <a href="http://siteware.com" target="_blank">siteware.com</a> | Contact: <a href="mailto:darcy@siteware.com" target="_blank">darcy@siteware.com</a> | 613-563-3634 by appointment</div><div><br></div><div>Canada N 45° 25'03.1" W 75° 42'21.4"</div></div><div>Art+ <a href="http://inventorartist.com/" target="_blank">inventorArtist.com</a> | Aviation <a href="http://rubber-power.com/" target="_blank">rubber-power.com</a><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div></div></div></div>

I was asked to so a piece of art for the energy industry...<br>
<br>
What to do?<br>
<br>
What I was thinking was a power grid and you crank it to keep it running.<br>
It could be like a little town with lights (perhaps even a little car to<br>
drive around)..<br>
<br>
So the loads of the town would vary and of course you'd feel the load on<br>
the hand crank. When you stop cranking the town goes dark...<br>
<br>
I suppose it would be fairly easy to CNC a little town (famous last<br>
words)... what to include?<br>
