Alibaba, the Chinese e-commerce giant, secured its place in history
as the <a target="_blank" href="http://money.cnn.com/2014/09/18/investing/alibaba-ipo-price-68-dollars-jack-ma/index.html">
largest U.S.-listed initial public offering of all time</a>.<br>
<br>
Demand was strong for the mega IPO, which priced at $68 per share.
At that price, the IPO raised $21.8 billion, the largest ever for a
company listed on an American exchange.<br>
<br>
Including the shares that underwriters have the option to purchase,
Alibaba's IPO would raise $25 billion -- the biggest haul on record
in the world.<br></div>
