<div dir="ltr"><div>Does the forum have a lot of content yet or is it a future forum? Where is it if it exists? </div><div><br></div>If you want to use sitemaps you'll want to have it rendered from software.. You may want to manually tag some content as important and frequent though. Just tag them in the database. But don't change their tables. Add tables and use a foreign key to link your flags to their data.<div><br></div><div>For duplicate content, .... well you shouldn't have duplicate content much but if there are numerous URL's that have the same content (which happens), you want to use robots.txt to keep indexers out of that.</div><div><br></div><div>The robots.txt is probably worth to keep the crawlers focused but I'm not convinced a sitemap has much benefit. Forums benefit more from community management and development of content people want.
