<div dir="ltr">Well there are several ways to detect water that I'm aware of:<div>- Conductive (as you mention, this requires enough electrolytes in the water to conduct a signal)</div><div>- Mechanical (using a float, and a lever for example)</div>
<div>- Chemical (using something that will react in the presence of water)</div><div>- Optical (light attenuation of certain IR spectrum and so on)</div><div>- Ultrasonic (ultrasonics will bounce off the surface of the water, so most ultrasonic rangefinders will detect water level in a contactless way)</div>
<div><br></div><div>So from that I'm sure you can figure out a means to read the water level to set off an alarm depending on your specific needs and setup :)</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">
