<div dir="ltr"><div>You will need to open the udp port for your void modem, but really it should just work. the VOIP modem would just contact the server and wait for phone calls. <br><br>Most ISP say that you need to put it directly infront of your router (like tek savvy) but that is a BIG no no. you end up redirecting ALL your traffic to this cheap unsecured hackable box that will probably never get updated.<br>

Or if you are talking about the "modem" being the box from Roger's, then that is probably a combo modem & router box so configuring the router to forward some ports might be necessary (5060 & 5061 + possibly some others). Just plug your VoIP phone into the network and try it first. There is usually a NAT setting in the phone or gateway that is important to enable. But that is probably already enabled if it was working behind your Bell modem/router combo box.</div>

The only connectivity problems I would expect would be related to the router firewall settings. Best plan is to ask unlimited if it doesn't work off the bat. I bet they will have plenty of customers on Rogers and be able to walk you through the specifics for your router model.<br>
