That's an interesting idea to use a mold in order to get more degrees of freedom. A makerbot is pretty agile in that sense too. It can even print features inside of a closed solid.

3D Boobs. I love this group! You might also consider maybe machining a 3D
mold and molding something out of silicon? You could also get an undercut
by doing a two piece mold if you don't have access to a 4-axis CNC.

For the Turtle Racer: I have mentioned this before in the group, but thought
I would reprise. If Hobby King are shipping from the US and the shipping is
exorbitant, suggest getting a Kinek account and shipping to Ogdensburg.
Picking up and paying for duty at customs can be a lot cheaper sometimes
than shipping direct if items are coming from the US. I was also able to
get a McMaster Carr shipment to my US address this way. If you do a bulk
order this would probably work.
I think boob-bookends might be nice.
I need some help from someone who's a bit better at Sketchup than me.
I've got the some boobs in Sketchup but I'm having a hard time since I'm a
Part of the issue is that most of the boobs require 4-axis or more. I have a
plan of changing things around to work with 3-axis CNC.

I just need to sit with somebody for 20m that knows sketchup better than me.
I also recently broke down the electronics costs as well, based on all hobby
gear from hobbyking (rather than splitting it up as per his electronics
document) cost is a little more, but more convenience (and it's likely
overkill for this application). Also some of the parts he calls for in his
doc are no longer in stock.

ESC - $25 -
All in electronics cost: $75 (plus shipping from china)

I'll be buying at least one set or two. And I know a couple others might be
interested. So if you like we can do a combine order for parts for a bunch
of these to save on shipping cost.
Let me know.
