<br clear="all">you mean get some people to hold up the ladder and run while we get a dolly shot from above the plane? :) Would it work for this flight? <a href="http://youtu.be/6TpntNMAmdw">http://youtu.be/6TpntNMAmdw</a><div>
<br></div><div><div>Surely there must be a tricopter or quadracapter platform that's affordable. Or some open source one or something out there that's affordable. In the worst case scenario, we could use remote control but that might be a little tricky unless you have a pilot and then another operator to swivel the camera around by remote control. </div>

<br> Get yourself up onto a balcony, rooftop, tree, ladder, etc and shoot downwards while someone flies the squirrel along beneath you.<br> Sadly, no robots involved in this technique, but you can do it -right now- at 0 cost.<br>

I believe there is a cheap project for sale on the make store for an autonomous blimp including camera. You'd have to google to find the name. Not as versatile as a helicopter but way simpler.<div><br></div><div><br>

<div><div>I want to take pictures of Squirrel model airplanes while they are flying but from above. Also some dolly shots from behind the plane while it's flying.</div><div><br></div><div>Anybody have a helicopter that can carry a camera? If not, I'm game to make a helicopter. If I do this, I'd like to make it autonomous. Perhaps to follow a beacon mounted on the plane. I guess, I'd need to be able to tell the copter to return if it follows the Squirrel into trouble. I suppose a second beacon could be used (or the machine could remember it's starting point).</div>
