<div><div>Strange...</div><div><br></div><div>I did it once. Before drawing all the game parts, I did it with a simple cube and I made a little dish into it. I assumed that it would work after I drew the rest of the game. So it's possible there's something about the way I drew the game that is causing trouble. </div>
<div><br></div><div>I would classify that as a serious bug. I'm a new Sketchup user so I'm curious to see where the project goes over the next year or so.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br>

In follow up, one option might be to do a sphere, then export in a format that tessellates like an STL. Then re-import the file, it should be made of proper polygons then... Then try a boolean subtraction.<div><br></div>

This has been a problem for me too... Sketchup has a hard time with spheres for some reason.<div><br></div><div>When I used indents to hold spheres, I ended up using inverted pyramids, that was easier to draw and still worked well (but not nearly as pretty).</div>
<div><br></div><div>If you could manage to do a geodesic sphere instead of one made of curves, then it would probably subtract fine, but I don't know how to do that with sketchup. (there may be a plugin to help with this).</div>

<div><div>Thanks Andrew,</div><div><br></div><div>I tried that. The problem with subtracting a portion of a sphere is that the little lines defining the sphere never lined up with the surface. I'll try again. Perhaps if I make little bowls instead of spheres it will be easier to make the bowl lips line up with the game surface.</div>
