The 100ish for the mantis is everything except electrical. Not sure how much everything is without electrical for the MyDIY. But as I said, the electrical for both those machines is interchangeable so I'd go with whatever is cheapest.<br>

$390 for the MyDIYCNC includes electrical so you're comparing apples to apples with electronics :)<br><br>Mantis still works out to be a bit cheaper after everything is said and done, especially if you're building more than one, but it's a substantial amount of work compared to assembling a kit.<br>

You shouldn't refer to the Mantis as costing $100. It's somewhere between $200-$300.<br><br>I'm at work but I believe the cutting area of the Mantis is quite close to that. Might be 7"x10", can't remember off the top of my head.<br>
<br>For $390 including spindle & controller board that CNC is the best deal on a desktop CNC on the market today. It says "complete kit" but it doesn't mention power supply. Either way it would be the cheapest option.<br>
