I agree, but good quality nvidia cards can be had quite cheap these days, and getting a small formfactor with a single pci-e slot isn't difficult. It doesn't need insane workstation style graphics, a low to midrange nvidia gaming card would be more than enough for the labs purposes I would suspect.<div>

SolidWorks is Windows-only, along with plenty of other software packages and equipment drivers out there.<br>

Booting up a Linux distro via USB is easy to do as the need arises.<br>
