<div style="word-wrap:break-word">Thanks Michael for making the updates.<div><br></div><div>In terms of Mod Lab and Artengine, we got involved with the development of the Mod Lab as a way to bring together a new network of people in the city. Artengine has a set of resources (space, production, tools, staff, government funding) that can help with the continued development of the group. In general this has proved to be very fruitful, and we are seeing an ever increasing network of creative technologists coming together. <div>
<br></div><div>With the lead up to the festival and Maker Faire things got pretty hectic, and the discussion group and meeting attendance has developed significantly, so things where a bit messy and out of date. Some of the web details are now taken care of, and as the Mod Lab starts to administer the Wiki we will have another great resource by and for the group. </div>
<div><br></div><div>The meetings, list and wiki depend on user participation, and as long as there is user participation Artengine will be here to support the activities of the group. Other groups are also starting to come to the Artengine Lab to meet, and I hope we can see the Mod Lab as a kind of catch all that the other groups can overlap with. We now have Drupal and Open Source Photography groups meeting (soon a sound group again too), and we had the Processing meet ups, but these are usually more specific and have their own histories. We would like to keep the Mod Lab running as a constant point of access for people and would like it to be integrated into the organization in this way.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Of note in the next few weeks is a grant for operational funding to the Canada Council for the Arts. This grant application will include request for funding for equipment for the next 3 years, and we would love to get the groups feedback on this. We can discuss this this evening, and tmrw I will start a fresh discussion thread with some of the ideas.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Look forward to seeing folks this evening. Hopefully the afterglow of the Maker Faire hasn't completely worn off for everyone ;)</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers,</div><div>Ryan</div><div><br></div>

Hi all,<br>
<br>
Both the Artengine ModLab page
(<a href="http://www.artengine.ca/news/2010/modlab-en.php" target="_blank">http://www.artengine.ca/news/2010/modlab-en.php</a>) and the MediaWiki
have been updated with Darcy's three main suggestions.<br>
<br>
One of the two will be removed or edited once it's decided which is
the authoritative site.<br>
<br>
I'd lean towards having no dates on the Artengine site, but only a
direct link to the ModLab MediaWiki which could be kept up to date
by the Mod Lab group themselves as required.<br>
<br>
Or possibly just a direct link from the Artengine navigation to the
ModLab MediaWiki.<br>
<br>
I'll see if the removal of the OHS space at <a href="http://www.engsoc.org/" target="_blank">http://www.engsoc.org/</a>
is a possibility.<br>
<br>
Best,<br>
<br>
