PCB fabrication is why I'm gathering people interested in building a very small, cheap CNC. For under $100 you can get all the parts to build it.

Read more here:

http://makeyourbot.org/mantis9-1

Currently the plan is to begin ordering parts as of January. If you want to buy the parts let me know and I'll contact you when we're ready to place an order. Many of the parts in the BOM only have McMaster references so the current plan is to ship them to NY and pick them up at the UPS store (as mentioned on list previously).
It can be done (see http://wiki.makerbot.com/makerbot-mill), but you'll need to use some sort of sacrificial layer and a solid steel plate underneath so you don't destroy the XY platform.
> Hey guys,
> I am getting annoyed with drilling my holes in my pcb boards and and
> tining them. I was wondering if some one knew if this could be done
> with the maker bot? If the maker bot follows standard CNC commands
> this would not be too hard I suppose to program. I think It was
> Andrew who said he put a dremel head on his maker bot. As for tining,
> maybe put a hot plate on the base and melt some tin on the base? the
> tining is not too important thought. I don't usually do that step
> since its long and I don't find it worth it. Maybe an alternative?
