Having used this style of mounts on a laser setup at NRC, I'm not so
sure that making it out of plastic would be worthwhile.<br>
It largely depends on how smoothly you want it to operate. The
plastic will deform under load in the area of the ball bearing<br>
pivot over time. I'd actually think it would be easier just to make
some up from some aluminum stock. You don't have to<br>
mess around with threaded inserts for the prototype.<br>

Ok, so if I get the mechanics from those photos, their particular
design has the flat square bracket (with the circular hole) which
would be the plate which the mirror itself would be fixed against.
This pivots on a ballbearing in the corner of the L shaped
bracket, with 2 center springs under tension, which keeps the
corner set screws under compression, allowing you to adjust the X
and Y tilt, the L shaped bracket has 2 holes one in each "arm"
which I'm assuming are for mounting the whole apparatus to your
machine...
