[Lab] Help with a remote control switch...

I am trying to set-up a simple remote control switch.... all it has to do
is control a LED light and a buzzer.  Does anyone have any of the cheap
Chinese receiver transmitter pairs kicking around?

Any suggestions to do this small and cheap?  Ideally, I would love to get
the remote control switch hidden inside a pen/whiteboard marker/large
sharpie

Or thoughts/experiences with various receiver/transmitters
